Being the widest ski in the A.M.P model line, the Aftershock thrives in soft and chopped conditions. Although it excels off the groomed runs, it still hasenough hard snow performance and power to carve trenches in whateer firm conditions it encounters.
Base + EdgesGraphite base, steel edge
Turning Radius17m @ 174cm
Core MaterialAspen/Paulownia/Fiberglass/Titanal
Shape + FlexAll-Terrain rocker tip with camber under foot. 30% rocker in the tip, 70% camber under foot. Progressive sidecut combines different sidecuts to create a ski that is easier to turn, and improves wide ski stability on hardpack.
Construction + CoreMetal-laminate construction uses two alternating layers of sheets of titanal and fiberglass running the length of the ski above and below the wood core. Metal-laminates provide dampened and accurate performance. Hybritech sidewall is a unique blend of sidewall and cap construction which combines the accuracy and power of sidewall with the lightweight and smooth turn initiation of cap. Aspen/Paulownia wood core top with a secondary MOD core to absorb impact loads and vibrations along the ski for stronger edge hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod monic zinc mass on top of the ski to focus mass dampening at a targeted location.
Skier Style + AbilityStrong advanced-expert skiers looking for a solid carving ski to use primarily off trail, that still can rip solid turns on the occasional groomer. 70% ungroomed, 30% groomed
